Strangeness that is Tennessee.

I was born and raised in Florida, to me Tennessee is almost a brand new world. I don't think however long I'm here I'll get over it. It's kind of amazing.

1. There are hills. That's not always fun but thankfully they aren't steep at all but sometimes it would be nice that when I'm walking down to the computer lab the ground was flat.

2. There are mountains. I like them but I think I like the mountains I saw in Montana better. The ones here have way too many trees.

3. The air is clean. It's nice going a semester without getting sick every other week.

4. The leaves change color, and I'm not talking green to brown. I was walking to Nathaniel and Kayley's apartment last Sunday so I could ride with them to church and in the grass in front of where the cars are parked for his dorm I saw yellow leaves. It seriously looked like they were plucked out of a painting. They were so beautiful. Yes I know I'm getting excited over leaves. Although the Sunday before we were riding with our friend Belinda to somebody's house after church and I saw red leaves and they were the same color red my hair used to be and not orange red, but dripped in red paint red. So beautiful. If I had to chose it's probably my favorite thing about Tennessee. Even though I've been out of Florida it hasn't been during this time of year that I'm able to remember.

5. The other thing that I don't remember happening in Florida is the rain. Yes it rains in Florida, but I don't remember it doing so in the middle of November. I also don't remember it misting. That is disgusting. It's like it's not raining yet you are wet and sticky. Of course I also understood the concept of sheets of rain now...
